Residents of Lewiston, Maine, tell tales of a foul-smelling, evil-looking creature with glowing red eyes that haunts the Maine woods, preying on cats, dogs, and livestock. Subsequent DNA testing proved it to be a dog, but the Maine Mystery Beast legend is larger than one mistaken sighting. Here is the legend in all its glory!
