Planet Pan is a Steel Band composed of high school students from Blue Hill, Maine. Their repertoire goes beyond the traditional sounds of the Caribbean, where steel band originated. Planet Pan plays everything from Top 40 hits and rock 'n roll to blues and classical music. One of Planet Pan's goals is to spread the word, through their performances at schools throughout Maine, about the fun of playing pan music. Green Mountain Railway | |
Green Mountain Railway is a high-energy band based on Mount Desert Island, Maine that specializes in Celtic, old-time, bluegrass, polka and swing tunes. The band takes its name from the cog railway that ran up Cadillac Mountain (formerly Green Mountain) in the late 1800s.
